Sarjis Alam, the coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the chief organizer of the National Citizen Committee, has warned that if there is any attempt to abuse power ahead of the upcoming elections, it will lead to another people's revolution in the country. He emphasized that the upcoming election must be completely impartial, marking a significant departure from the 53-year history of Bangladesh.

He made these remarks on Sunday (February 16, 2025) during the "New Bangladesh in Your Eyes" campaign, organized by the National Citizen Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement at the Royal Resort Auditorium in Sonargaon, Narayanganj, aimed at dismantling the fascist system and implementing a new political arrangement.

Sarjis also mentioned that a new political party for students will be announced in February 2025. He stated that if any political party wins 300 seats in a free and fair election, there will be no objection from their side. He added that those who led the people's uprising will be at the forefront of leading the new Bangladesh.

He further noted that the new political party, which will oppose the fascists, will be open to people from all walks of life.

In his statement, Sarjis also remarked, "The murderer Hasina has fled Bangladesh, hiding from her own actions and leaving her party members in disgrace. We need to learn from this."

During the event, several leaders and activists of the National Citizen Committee and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement were present, including central committee member Tuhin Mahmud, joint convener of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Narayanganj, Shakil Saifulah, chief organizer Jahidul Haque Bandhan, member Anik Khan Siam, as well as families of martyrs and the injured from the movement.
